IMaST

Integrated Mathematics, Science, and Technology

Yes, that is right! Someone went to the trouble to develop a fully integrated middle school curriculum just for you! If you think it makes sense to teach math, science, and technology at the same time, you are right. Many teachers have tried it and it works, but it takes a lot of time to develop a full curriculum.

With support from the National Science Foundation, middle school teachers have been working on this task for more than a decade. You may purchase the entire curriculum or you may supplement your curriculum by trying any one of the sixteen modules.

The IMaST program features include:

• Sixteen attractively designed student modules
• Wrap around teacher editions for each module
• More than 175 activities that engage students as they learn
• Readings that connect to social studies
• Writing activities to enhance the language arts
• Career connections that show how math and science are used in the real world
• Activity and module assessments along with rubrics
• Alignment with the NCTM Principles and Standards for School Mathematics
• Alignment with the NRC National Science Education Standards
• Alignment with the ITEA Standards for Technological Literacy
• Professional development for administrators and teachers (cost recovery basis)
